Body Rider BRF700 Upright Fan Exercise Bike: QUICK OVERVIEW
What We Like
What We Don't Like
Runner’s high is very much a real thing. Anyone who has ever experienced the rush that accompanies pushing through an intense cardio session can attest to that. And what a beautiful thing it is!
Unfortunately, over the long term, jogging on the outdoor pavement – and even treadmills – can be rather stressful on your joints and lower back.
Thankfully, it’s still entirely possible to feel the rush that comes from a runner’s high by using a home exercise bike. Not only that, but exercise bikes have the added benefit of leaving your joints and back muscles feeling great after your workouts.
With that in mind, today we’ll be taking a look at the Body Rider BRF700 Upright Fan Exercise Bike. It’s a basic yet highly functional home exercise bike that can be had for an unbelievably low price. If you’re curious to see if it’s the entry level exercise bike for you, then keep reading for our complete thoughts.
Body Rider BRF700 Upright Fan Exercise Bike Review
The BRF700 is designed to allow fitness enthusiasts to develop both their cardiovascular systems and upper body strength all with one low cost exercise bike. We’re happy to report that it succeeds wildly at what it’s intended to do. The BRF700 upright bike makes it insanely easy AND affordable for anybody to get a high-quality workout in from home.
Who is this exercise bike for?
As we mentioned near the beginning of this review, home exercise bikes like the BRF700 are perfect for anyone who wants to work out from the comfort of their own home without placing a lot of stress on their joints and back. With the BRF700, you can easily squeeze a comfortable cardio workout in, rain or shine.
Better yet, the smart design lets you get both an elliptical and an upper body workout done with just one machine.
The BRF700 comes packaged with all of the necessary parts you’ll need to assemble the bike. You’ll also be getting the usual paperwork that accompanies most exercise bikes, including the user manual and warranty information.
Overview of features
Considering the Body Rider BRF700 is one of the best entry-level compact exercise bikes you’ll find on the market, it should be no surprise that it’s equipped with an abundance of great features. Beginning with the design itself, the BRF700 has a sturdy black and silver steel frame that measures 41.75 x 22 x 46.5 and weighs in 47.3 lbs. with a weight capacity of up to 250 lbs. The ergonomically designed dual-action handlebars give you the flexibility to work out your arms and upper body solely or while simultaneously pedaling for a true full-body workout.
The BRF700 is also quite easy to customize, as the padded seat is easily adjusted to your desired comfort level. The manual tension control can quickly be adjusted with a quick turn of the knob as well. And should you decide to workout with the tension set to provide the maximum amount of challenge, you’ll definitely appreciate the high momentum fan blades that will cool you off while you work up a sweat.
Rounding out the functional design of the BRF700 is an easy-to-read LCD digital display that provides all of the information you’ll need, including distance traveled, time, speed, and calories burned. And last but not least, Body Rider also offers a 1-year warranty on the frame and 90 days for all other parts so long as the machine has been reasonably used – but in our experience, Body Rider is quite good at handling any customer service issues.
Getting the most out of your new exercise bike
The most annoying part of purchasing any home exercise bike is always assembling it. Manufacturer instruction manuals aren’t exactly known for being the easiest documents to follow along with. Thankfully, Body Rider have posted an excellent assembly tutorial online in video format. Check it out:
One other quick note – if you do decide to purchase the Body Rider BRF700, you can rest assured that you’ll be able to enjoy intense full-body strength training and cardio workouts from home with one single machine. However, in order to support both fat loss and muscular growth, it’s essential to make sure that you’re eating properly as well.
As much as we love the BRF700, the fact remains that it’s still an entry level budget option by design. If you have your heart set on purchasing an upright exercise bike and you’d like something that’s a bit higher quality, we would instead strongly recommend the Schwinn AD2 Airdyne Upright Bike. As with the BRF700, it makes it extremely easy to get a solid workout in for both your upper and lower body from home, although it comes equipped with a few quality-of-life extras that we’re sure you’ll appreciate.
Being able to reliably work out your entire body with one single machine (especially one that’s as value priced as the BRF700) is criminally underrated. For a very modest price, you can get a home exercise bike that’s incredibly compact while sacrificing very little when it comes to quality.
Are there better exercise bikes out there? Of course. But when you consider everything that you’re getting with this bike, and at such a great price, it’s hard not to recommend this bike. For that reason, if you’re in the market for a budget-friendly upright exercise bike, we can safely say that you can’t really go wrong with the BRF700.
